Your Own Mastermind Alliance

by

It’s about who you know.  The power of your network.  Most business owners are only tapping into a tiny fraction of that power because by nature we feel uncomfortable admitting we have a gap and/or we have a hidden fear that it’s a sign of weakness if we need to ask for help.

What the best have learned

If you research the most successful people in the world, you’ll find they’ve recognized the power of masterminds, think tanks, and how to maximize the unlimited potential of other people’s brains and the brains of their extended networks.  They’ve realized you don’t need to know everything, but you do need to know the right people.

The famed Napoleon Hill in his Masterpiece “Think and Grow Rich” defined the Mastermind Principle as one of the 13 keys to success: “The Mastermind Principle is the coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people who work toward a definite purpose in the spirit of harmony.”

After interviewing thousands of successful, and unsuccessful, individuals Hill saw some amazing commonalities – one of which was the Mastermind Principle.  Surrounding yourself with brilliance, those who have assets you do not, understanding the give to get concept and allowing yourself to TRUST this inner circle completely – is the way to build true wealth and success.

I encourage you to read the entire book, but this one principle changed the way I do business.  I’ve learned to utilize the power of my network and more specifically the power of my trusted inner circle – my Mastermind Alliance.

The power of a mastermind goes beyond tapping into the knowledge and expertise of each member.  The true power is the willingness of each member of the group to freely open up their network to the others.  When you are in a trusted inner circle, there is no hesitation for referrals – the growth potential is unlimited.

If you want to experience growth in your business and ensure a great customer experience – you need a cabinet of trusted advisors, a team of trusted employees, and a strong leader at the helm to see the vision through.   Your mastermind often acts as your business consulting arm, your board of directors – a place where you can share struggles and where collectively the group helps you define solutions.  Because it’s a trusted environment, criticism is taken openly and is considered constructive.

So yes, it is all about who you know.  No successful person got their solo.  Sure, you need drive, desire, and brains – but to take it to the top, you need a network and a grand one.
